  • Communiqué du ministère des Finances : Bilan positif de la première étape de la visite du ministre des Finances Pierre Gramegna en Chine Statement 29/09/17

    Le ministre des Finances, Pierre Gramegna a effectué une visite en Chine du 24 au 29 septembre 2017. Il était accompagné d'une délégation de plus de 70 professionnels du secteur financier luxembourgeois. À Pékin, où il a séjourné du 24 au 26 septembre, Pierre Gramegna a notamment eu des réunions avec son homologue et les différents régulateurs chinois, ainsi qu'avec des hauts dirigeants du monde économique et financier.

    At the invitation of the Prime Minister of the People's Republic of China Li Keqiang, Prime Minister and Minister of State Xavier Bettel paid an official visit to the People's Republic of China from 11 to 14 June 2017. He was accompanied by the Minister of Sustainable Development and Infrastructures, François Bausch, and Finance Minister Pierre Gramegna. The Luxembourg delegation visited Beijing on June 11, 12 and 14 and Zhengzhou, the capital of Henan Province, on June 13, 2017.

  • IFC chooses Luxembourg as domicile for major Green Bond fund Statement 27/04/17

    The International Finance Corporation IFC, together with asset manager Amundi, have announced to create the world’s largest green-bond fund dedicated to emerging markets, the Green Cornerstone Bond Fund. The USD 2bn fixed income fund will be domiciled in Luxembourg.

    The fund will buy green bonds issued by banks in Africa, Asia, the Middle East, Latin America, Eastern Europe and Central Asia. IFC will invest USD 325 million, while Amundi will raise the rest from institutional investors worldwide. The fund will deepen new green capital markets in countries where such a market was non-existent so far.

    From 20 to 22 June 2017, participants will hear from high-level government and industry leaders about how to turn challenges into opportunities by embracing the circular economy as a key lever for sustainable growth and profitability.
