60.000 visitors for the first ‘soft opening’ day at World Expo Shanghai!
Huge success for Luxembourg pavilion today! The Expo zone opened its doors this morning for a trial run before the official opening of the World Expo on May 1st. The ‘soft opening’ is an important phase within the general Expo organization, as it is meant to test transportation means and traffic flow inside the Expo zone and within the different pavilions. Up to 200.000 people were allowed to enter the 5 km2 of the site. Only half of all the pavilions were ready to open their doors to the visitors; Luxembourg is among the big runners : people where queuing for 2 hrs at the entrance of the national pavilion. Neighbor pavilions like the UK, the Netherlands and Italy were highly visited as well.
