Published 星期一, 2010年 九月 13日

On Monday 13th September 2010, four months after the opening of the World Expo, the Luxembourg Pavilion welcomed its fifth million visitors, Ms. Grace Su and Ms. Betty Li. They have been living in Shanghai for about 3 years, and both of them are working for a Taiwanese company having a branch in Shanghai.

Ms.Su and Ms.Li were truly excited and said that it was a great farewell gift as they would leave Shanghai and return to their hometown Taipei two days later. They told the pavilion staff that they would keep a nice memory of their visit to the Luxembourg Pavilion and Ms. Betty Su even considered spending her soon-to-come honeymoon in Luxembourg.

Ms. Su and Ms. Li were welcomed by Mr. Rohdewald Thomas, Pavilion Director, and by Mr. Fischbach Max, Deputy Director. The two ladies received gift bags each containing a Euro-Coin from Luxembourg, Luxembourg Pavilion stamps, cups from Villeroy & Boch, and many more gifts.

After tasting some Luxembourgish white wines at the pavilion's VIP lounge they also received some ice wine to take home.

Accompanied by some of the pavilion’s volunteers from Luxembourg, Ms. Su and Ms. Li tasted some of Luxembourg's culinary specialties at the "Jardin de Jade", pavilion restaurant.
