Open Day at the Luxembourg Embassy
On May 22nd, the Embassy of Luxembourg opened its doors to more than 30 Chinese students as part of the activities for the EU Open Day for young People 2013.
Students studying either German or French came from Beijing Foreign Studies University and Beijing International Studies University and enjoyed the presentation of the country by two Luxembourg diplomats, ambassador Carlo Krieger, and deputy head of mission Loic Bertoli. They also participated in the workshop for making Wäffelcher, a traditional Luxembourgish waffle, which was held by Ms. Nancy Marchal with the help of the Luxembourg student Max Doerner. The winners of a quiz held after the presentation received gifts from Luxembourg presented by H.E. Mr. Adrien Meisch, the former Ambassador of Luxembourg in Moscow who signed the communique for the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Luxembourg in 1972.
