Concert of Joint Venture Percussion Duo at NCPA on October 3th
We have great pleasure to inform you that Luxembourg artist Mr. Laurent Warnier is giving a concert with his Chinese partner, Ms Rachel Xi Zhang. They will be
accompanied by some very promising young artists.

"Since the duo's conception in 2007, Joint Venture percussionist’s Rachel Xi Zhang (China) and Laurent Warnier (Luxembourg) music reflects a unique blend of cultural and musical differences. Both Zhang and Warnier stem from very contrasting backgrounds: Rachel, an Asian romantic pianist and Laurent, a European percussionist influenced by Jazz and New Music. Together, they have found a common ground through contemporary percussion, where they have fused their contrasts to form the internationally unique duo that they are today.
Recent performances include concerts in China and the Netherlands. In China, Joint Venture played in venues, such as Harbin Arts University, Conservatory of Shenyang, Beijing Central Conservatory of Music, Shanghai Conservatory and Shenzhen Symphony Hall. In the Netherlands, they were a featured duo in the The Big Bang Percussion Festival. They played alongside famous drummers and percussionists in De Doelen in Rotterdam, Heineken Music Hall in Amsterdam, Vredenburg in Utrecht and Muziekcentrum Frits Philips in Eindhoven.
In November 2009, Joint Venture wins during the Vriendencrans/Het Debuut Concours the Prins Bernard Price for Young Talents and was awarded a 10-concert-Tour through the Netherlands."
