Jazz concerts au Centre National des Arts (NCPA) à Pékin

Publié le dimanche 25 septembre 2011

Largo-feat.Gast Waltzing, a Luxembourg Jazz group, gave two concerts at the NCPA on 24 September 2011 as part of their tour in China.

Gast Waltzing’s defining passion has always been music. Classically trained at Europe’s leading Conservatories, he founded the Jazz Department of the Luxembourg Conservatory, which he is now heading. In the course of his prestigious career he has released tens of albums, ranging from classical to jazz to dance and has composed the scores for over 150 TV movies and cinema releases. His Largo project is both informed by the wealth of his past experience and yet marks somewhat of a departure.

Largo has recently toured in Vietnam, Greece and Portugal, recorded live in Vienna for the ORF, and performed most recently at the Hilden Jazz Festival.

With 2 albums released on Warner Jazz, “Fables of Lost Time” (Warner Jazz 5050466-4082-2-8) released in 2003 and “Long Journey” (Warner Jazz 5046781322) released in 2005, the band released their third album “It’s all about us” in September 2009 on Waltzing’s own label, WPR Jazz. Largo-feat.Gast Waltzing presented their new album at the Philharmonie in Luxembourg in May 2010. As special guests, the band invited Nils Landgren and Didier Lockwood. Largo-feat.Gast Waltzing represented Luxembourg at the World Expo 2010 in Shanghai in October.

Largo includes Rainer Kind on Drums, David Laborier on Guitar, Thomas Bracht on Keyboards, and Rom Heck on Bass.
