Second largest bank in the world settles in Luxembourg
China Construction Bank (CCB), the second largest bank in the world by market value is set to become the third Chinese bank in Luxembourg after gaining approval by the Finance Ministry. The bank joins the Bank of China (BoC) who already has a presence in Luxembourg since 1979. The largest bank in the world by market value, the Industrial and Commercial Bank of China (ICBC) has its European headquarters based in Luxembourg.
This good news is the result of a continuous and constant dialogue that has been installed between Luxembourg and China. The presence of CCB will further strengthen the excellent cooperation between the Grand Duchy and China.
