Luxembourg cyclist Andy Schleck participates in the Tour of Beijing
The Tour of Beijing, a five-day race, which made its debut last year, takes place between October 9 and 13 with the participation of world's top 18 cycling teams and a Chinese selection. A number of 146 riders, including 2010 Tour de France champion Andy Schleck of Luxembourg, cover 10 districts of Beijing ranging from the west to the north. The five stages also consist of numerous scenic spots, from the Bird's Nest stadium to Water Cube Aquatics, from the Mentougou Eco Valley to Tianmen Square. Schleck didn't focus on the result in this season’s last race, since he just came back after an injury and will take the race as a preparation for the season of 2013.
