Renminbi World Conference 2013
Luxembourg for Finance was present at the Renminbi World Conference in Beijing on November 7 and 8. The conference was organised by The Asian Banker and gathered various international specialists on the renminbi topic.
Nicolas Mackel, CEO of Luxembourg for Finance, discussed during a panel renminbi business opportunities for international financial centres and Luxembourg. As the financial centre with most relevant RMB business volumes in the Eurozone, Luxembourg is well positioned to become a major global RMB hub.
Panelists also included Martin Maurer, Secretary General, Swiss Association of Foreign Banks and Clarence Hui, Senior Manager, Financial Infrastructure Development Division, HKMA. The session was moderated by Foo Boon Ping, Managing Editor at The Asian Banker.
The Luxembourg financial centre was also represented by Denis Noonan of Clearstream who made the case in a panel on the growing demand for RMB-linked products
